Game Time: 2:10pm

Ticket Price: $10 per person

Once again we will have our party deck along with the hamburgers/hot dogs, potato salad, cookies and soda!  This popular event sells out quickly so make sure you purchase your tickets as soon as possible!

Seats are limited and will be on sale until July 8, 2011, or until we sell out, which ever comes first.

We will be mailing your tickets and wristbands to you this year.  We will have the party deck along the 1st base line just like in previous years.  You can enter through the main gate (there’s a beach towel giveaway at this game!) and show them your wristband to get to the party deck.

Because of the popularity of this event, we ask that you purchase tickets for your immediate family members and caregivers only.

IMPORTANT:  Once we have received your payment, we will email you a confirmation letter.  After July 10th, your tickets and wristbands will be mailed to you.  These can not be replaced so please do not lose them. Please be aware that you are responsible for your child(ren) at all times. We will be on the second level, which has a railing, but has no security measures to prevent your child from climbing over.  We will have a private suite available as our “quiet room” for those children who get overwhelmed. You may also bring GFCF food for your child if they are on a special diet. If you have further questions or concerns about this event, please call Lisa at 947-0229 or visit www.railcatsbaseball.com.

Region Inclusive Basketball Camp

2010 Inclusive Region Basketball Camp Information

The National Autism Association of Northwest Indiana is happy to co-host the first ever inclusive region basketball camp! The main focus of this camp will be to ensure that all the kids have fun.

This camp will be for 2 days (4 hours each day) August 14-15th, at the Jean Sheppard Community Center in Hammond. Each player with autism will be partnered with a neurotypical peer and a coach. We will work in small groups on basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting and how to play a basketball game. All coaches working with the kids will receive training on autism.

Each day we will have time for working on basketball skills, breaks, “free time” and a short 10-15 minute game. There will be an activity room setup to allow the kids to take a break from all the action.

Player Requirements: All we ask is that each player be between the ages of 6 and 12 and be able to use the toilet independently. We do not have staff on hand to take care of personal hygiene.

Once we receive your registration form, you will receive a confirmation letter with the schedule for both days. Prior to starting the camp, a waiver will have to be signed. There is no fee for this camp.
If you have any questions regarding this camp, you can contact Coach Reggie Brooks at 219-545-3989  or Lisa Fox at 219-947-0229.

Pre-Registration is required.  Download the form here and mail to:  NAA-NWI, PO Box 216, Hobart, IN  46342.  Deadline for registration is July 30th.
